Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and colony management is the only humane approach to the management of feral and stray cats.
Once the cats are trapped, they are vetted, vaccinated, sterilized, microchipped, and ear-tipped. They are then released back into their colony to live their lives without reproducing further.
Providing TNR reduces the strain of demand on the local shelter resources as well allowing them to refocus their efforts on assisting with adoptable cats in the community.
Shady's Paw assists with TNR within the Frederick County and Winchester areas.
